Fellowship In Community

Explore, discover, ask questions in a non-judgmental sacred space

Covenant members are welcomed to bring the whole of themselves into our sacred spaces. That includes their analytical thinking, their curiosity, their skepticism, and their challenges. At the end of each sermon at worship service, the floor is open for feedback, questions, and the sharing of personal insights and experiences. No one is ridiculed for their beliefs or background. No question is too taboo to ask.

Book study discussions can spark lively debate, personal storytelling, and individual research. Covenant retreats have covered topics as wide-ranging as spiritual truths uncovered through scientific inquiry; astrobiology (the field of study that examines the likelihood of finding life forms elsewhere in the cosmos); spiritual implications of quantum physics; spiritual anatomy and the Chakra system; and Sahaj Samadhi meditation techniques.

Covenant has been challenged to allow new information to inform our spiritual growth. We have been instructed not to ignore the metaphysical or to disregard it because many of its aspects do not appear in the Bible. Covenant members understand that God continues to be manifest in our contemporary settings as much as was true in Biblical times and that we should share our witness to that God’s presence in our lives. We are challenged to remain open, inquisitive, imaginative, and curious so that our spirits have unlimited expanse within which to evolve.
